🇷🇺⚔️ Understanding Russia’s Recent Military Moves and the Nuclear Threat: Insights from a Military Expert ☢️🌍
🎙️🪖 In this detailed analysis, a seasoned military expert examines high-stakes developments involving Russia’s so-called “referendums,” partial mobilization, and the threat of nuclear conflict. The discussion explores what these developments could mean for the war in 🇺🇦 Ukraine and global security. 🌎🕊️
🗳️🇷🇺 [00:00:03] Russia’s “Referendums”: A Last-Resort Gamble
⚠️ The term “referendum” is described as a “va-bank” move—a high-risk gamble in which Russia is risking everything because its options are narrowing.
📍 The referendums sought to legitimize Russia’s annexation claims over four Ukrainian regions, potentially creating new administrative structures.
🤫 Unlike grand parliamentary ceremonies, Russia appeared to pursue the process relatively quietly, perhaps to avoid provoking the international community further.
♟️ The expert suggests these moves could also serve as leverage in future peace negotiations, with Putin using territorial claims as bargaining chips.
🎖️🇷🇺 [00:03:23] Partial Mobilization: Quality vs. Quantity
👥 Russia’s mobilization was described as partial rather than total, theoretically targeting people with specific military specialties and combat experience.
⚠️ However, corruption, poor organization, and quota pressure reportedly resulted in people being mobilized regardless of their fitness or military experience.
📋 Mass summons created confusion and weakened the strategic purpose of the mobilization.
🚨 Some newly mobilized troops were reportedly sent toward the front prematurely, with inadequate training and equipment.
🧥🧦 Supplies reportedly became a serious problem, including shortages of:
🎽 Uniforms
🩹 Medical supplies
👕 Clothing
🧦 Basic items such as socks and underwear
💀 The expert also described severe daily Russian casualties, creating an acute personnel crisis.
🏃♂️🇷🇺 [00:12:38] Surrenders, Desertions & Attempts to Flee
📉 As morale declines, the possibility of increased surrenders and desertions becomes an important factor.
📱 Programs encouraging Russian soldiers to surrender reportedly include chatbots and telephone hotlines.
🛂 At the same time, some Russian reservists attempted to leave the country, while border controls became stricter for military-age men.
👥 Analysts cited in the discussion estimated that Russia could mobilize approximately 130,000 troops per cycle, while larger mobilization efforts would place additional strain on the system.
🇺🇦 Ukraine was described as having sufficient weapons to resist Russian advances, while requiring continued Western assistance—especially:
💥 Artillery
🚁 Drones
✈️ Airpower
🎯 Precision weapons
🛡️🚀 [00:15:17] Weapons & Countermeasures
⚔️ Ukraine was described as having firepower parity or a slight advantage in some areas, but not enough overwhelming superiority to make the war easy.
🛩️ Iranian-made drones supplied to Russia were identified as a significant threat.
💥 These drones can carry substantial explosive payloads and attack infrastructure and military targets.
🛡️ Ukrainian air defenses have increasingly demonstrated the ability to intercept incoming drones and missiles.
🤝 Western partners have also provided Ukraine with increasingly sophisticated air-defense and counter-drone capabilities.
☢️🇷🇺 [00:19:15] The Nuclear Gamble: Threat or Bluff?
☢️ Russia has repeatedly referenced the possibility of nuclear weapons use while presenting such action as a defensive response to threats against territory it claims as Russian.
🧨 The expert distinguishes between:
☢️ Strategic nuclear weapons
☢️ Operational-tactical nuclear weapons
☢️ Tactical nuclear weapons
⚠️ The discussion considers strategic nuclear use against Ukraine unlikely, while acknowledging that the possibility of tactical nuclear use would represent an extremely serious escalation.
💥 The immediate military effect would depend on the weapon, target, weather, terrain, and circumstances.
🌍 But the greatest danger could extend far beyond the battlefield: a nuclear strike would create an enormous political and strategic crisis involving Russia, Ukraine, NATO, and the wider international community.
🛡️🌎 [00:24:54] How Could the West Respond?
⚠️ Western governments have repeatedly warned that nuclear use would trigger a major response.
🚫 Rather than necessarily responding with nuclear weapons, NATO countries could potentially choose overwhelming conventional military measures.
🎯 Possible targets could include Russian military capabilities and infrastructure supporting the war.
☢️ The objective of such deterrence would be to make clear that nuclear threats cannot be used as a tool of political blackmail.
⚠️ Any nuclear escalation would carry unpredictable consequences and risks for the entire world.
🕊️🇺🇦 [00:29:33] Are Peace Talks Possible?
♟️ The expert interprets Russia’s increased pressure and threats as attempts to force Ukraine and its Western partners toward negotiations.
🇺🇦 However, Ukraine and its allies were portrayed as unlikely to accept negotiations that compromise Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
💙💛 Confidence was expressed that Ukraine could eventually liberate occupied territories, including areas of Donbas and Crimea.
⏳ At the same time, the conflict was expected to continue for an extended period, with no easy or immediate resolution.
🪖🇺🇦 [00:31:28] Ukraine’s Leadership: General Zaluzhnyi
⭐ General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was portrayed as a creative and open-minded military leader.
🧠 His leadership was characterized as representing a movement away from traditional Soviet military thinking toward:
🎯 Flexible strategy
🤝 NATO-style cooperation
⚡ Modern battlefield tactics
🛰️ Hybrid warfare capabilities
🧠 The cooperation between Ukraine’s senior military leaders was described as an important strategic “brain trust.”
🇺🇸🤝🇺🇦 [00:32:55] Could NATO or U.S. Troops Enter Ukraine?
⚠️ Direct deployment of NATO or U.S. combat forces into Ukraine was considered unlikely because of the enormous risk of escalating the conflict into a direct Russia–NATO confrontation. 🌎☢️
Instead, Western support was expected to focus on:
🛡️ Weapons
🛰️ Intelligence
🎓 Military training
🚁 Air defense
💥 Ammunition
💰 Financial assistance
🌍 Any international presence around sensitive facilities would involve major political and legal considerations.
🌟🇺🇦 Final Thoughts: Hope Amid Uncertainty
Despite the serious concerns surrounding mobilization, military escalation, and nuclear threats, the expert expressed optimism about Ukraine’s ability to withstand Russian aggression.
💙💛 Continued international support, Ukrainian resilience, and effective military leadership remain important factors.
🕊️ Ultimately, the path toward peace will depend on military developments, diplomatic decisions, and the willingness of the parties involved to reach a sustainable settlement.
📌🔑 Key Takeaways
🇷🇺🗳️ Russia’s referendums were presented as an attempt to consolidate territorial claims and strengthen its negotiating position.

Oleg: Good evening.
Host: Good evening. Tell me, please — what do the events of the last few days personally tell you? The referendums, the pseudo-referendums on Ukrainian territory, the mobilization — or how exactly should we call it — in Russia, and Putin’s threats of nuclear war. Let’s try to go through it step by step. First, the referendums — what is this?
Oleg: Look, no matter which of the things you listed we start with, it’s like sitting at a card table when the cards are laid on the table — it’s va-bank. There’s simply no other way to put it. There are no more trump cards left — more precisely, there are no cards left at all.
The referendums are an attempt… By the way, today I received interesting information from friends in the United States — our fellow citizens who live there. They sent me word that in certain circles it’s already being discussed that the four regions that will be annexed will be joined to Crimea and called the Crimean Federal District. Crimea will be taken out of Rostov Region — you know that right now the regional center is no longer even the capital of a federal district. So they’re going for maximum simplification of the procedure, apparently so as not to provoke the international community too strongly. There won’t be any grand ceremony with the State Duma voting to accept them into the Russian Federation. They will simply vote to create this Crimean Federal District or to incorporate them into it.
In any case, they will appoint representatives. Incidentally, a source close to us says they are preparing to name someone as head of this federal district. But either way, this is still a step of desperation, because there are no other options left. I also think there will be bargaining. Let’s listen to what Putin says on the 30th, but I believe there will be bargaining. At every stage he will try to blackmail us especially, so that we sit down at the negotiating table: “Look, the referendum has already happened, I can now accept these territories into Russia — will you negotiate or not?” Judging by Putin’s latest steps, he is burning all bridges between the West and the Russian Federation, still hoping that we will get scared at some point and say, “All right, enough, we’re ready — let’s talk.” In other words, the rat has been driven into a corner — to use his own words from an interview several years ago — and now the rat is looking for a way out.
Host: All right. So they held these so-called referendums that almost no one attended. They will say this is now Russia. Fine. Let’s look at it from another angle — the mobilization. What does it mean? Should we fear mobilization in Russia? Is it partial, or is it practically total?
Oleg: Yes, we will have to deal with it. For us it is a problem — not a critical one, but a problem. Why? Because the number of people on the front line may increase several times over, and we will have to work much harder. As for the quality of those people… I do not take it into account.
The mobilization is indeed partial. As a military man I understand that the General Staff did everything absolutely correctly. They apparently set conditions for Putin: if he wants victory, mobilization is needed — but partial, selective mobilization. That is, quality selection by military specialties, and second, by combat experience.
But thanks to Russian corruption, the military commissars turned it into something completely different. It turned out exactly like in Kuprin’s novel: when a formation inspection was scheduled for five in the morning, by morning there wasn’t a single sober face left in the regiment — including the horses. They turned the partial mobilization that the General Staff was counting on for quality selection into a wholesale roundup. They were given quotas and simply grabbed whoever they could in the shortest possible time. A quota of 100 men arrived — they delivered 100 men, whoever showed up first on the summonses. By the way, those summonses started going out two weeks earlier. The military commissars in Russia are gold-plating themselves right now. I think even Rotenberg might look like a pauper next to them. It’s no coincidence that the chief federal propagandist is already demanding that a military commissar be shot — because they really did colossal work in killing everything that this mobilization was supposed to achieve. They killed it with this wholesale grabbing of people and sending them nowhere. They collected them, shoved them onto assembly points, and now the higher headquarters are simply horrified by the mobilization material they are receiving from the localities. They can’t send them home because the next ones won’t come if these are released, and working with them is impossible.
If we look at the analysis of the Russian Armed Forces’ conscription, on average Russia calls up about 130,000 men twice a year. They do it over the course of a month. By the way, the spring call-up was a failure — they had to extend it by two weeks and still couldn’t recruit the required number. Those 130,000 are the throughput capacity of the Russian mobilization system. They can collect that number. Beyond that, collapse begins — and we are already seeing that collapse. There is already a shortage of uniforms — Belarus is receiving state orders for sewing them. There is a shortage of elementary medical kits, body armor, paints… Have you seen that list of 30 items they are telling people to bring themselves? Including sanitary pads and tampons. You know what the pads are for? They’re used as insoles in boots, because the kirza boots soak through. And the tampons are for stuffing into wounds — to learn how to bandage yourself. They tell people to buy tourniquets in pharmacies. Socks, underwear, T-shirts — basic undergarments — none of that is available. The first wave that arrived still received something. The most offensive part is that those who came first, in the first buses, had all their “unauthorized” items confiscated — flashlights, pocket knives, mini tool kits. Everything was taken as non-regulation. And now they are being issued lists of what they must bring to war themselves, because the Motherland will give them nothing.
So the General Staff is now bogged down in this routine. The first wave — the very first ones — will be sent to the front as cannon fodder. We are already receiving information from the Russian side that the first batches are supposed to reach the front today or tomorrow. Why? Because a catastrophic personnel situation has developed at the front. While they were handing out summonses, the hidden mobilization stopped. The military commissariats couldn’t handle two tasks at once. They started distributing summonses, and the flow of hidden mobilization dried up. Right now there is a pause. Looking at the loss reports, Russian troops are suffering losses of about a battalion a day — around 500 men, plus or minus. Ten days — that’s ten BTGs, a whole division. It no longer exists and has to be urgently replenished. So the first party of these mobilized men will be thrown into the trenches.
I receive a huge number of videos from Russian assembly points. I’ll tell you: almost all of them are drunk, bandy-legged, short, a complete mess. Either this is degeneration, or the better ones managed to dodge and run. Better to stand on the border. On the Kazakh border, the Georgian border, at the airports — whoever could and had the opportunity has already fled. A very large percentage of those who wanted to “go for a change of scenery” — even in Soviet times they used to call up “partisans,” remember? Those were training assemblies, or the virgin-lands battalions for the harvest. I remember in 1994 we still formed two virgin-lands battalions in the Mukachevo 128th Division for harvesting sugar beets in Vinnytsia and Ternopil regions. Those people went to drink with the men and haul crates of beer and vodka. I think their first shock will come when the money for the boat runs out and they start putting them into formation and beginning drill training.
The danger for us is the numbers — that there will be many of them. That’s the first point. Second, with such numbers there will be natural selection. They will take heavy losses, but those who survive will, like in the Vietnam War when young American conscripts were thrown in and called “cherries.” Those who came out after the first battle then fought normally. That mass of survivors will gradually accumulate.
Today there are roughly 140–150 thousand Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine. If they call up 1.2 million, that would be six complete sets. I don’t think they will manage a call-up of 1.2 million. But calculations have to be made for both the good and the bad scenarios. I think by the New Year the maximum will be 300, maybe 500 thousand. The 1.2 million is a spring plan.
Host: Don’t you have the feeling that these Russian guys will start surrendering en masse?
Oleg: Yes, that is entirely possible — especially if we start exchanges. Even the first exchange of 200 people: we took back 55 of ours and handed over theirs. I already watched interviews with those 501st guys. Of course he poured dirt on us, said he was constantly beaten and abused here — but somehow he managed to gain six kilograms. With what special cynicism did they beat him so that he put on weight? He will tell others, and word of mouth will spread that conditions in Ukrainian captivity are not like in a Russian unit. That can play its role. Plus the propaganda. I’ve noticed when I give interviews to foreign media — they are shocked that we have practically created a state program, put the possibility of surrender for Russian soldiers on a conveyor belt. We have chatbots, round-the-clock hotlines: please register, we can even meet you at the border if whole units come over. We have organized this very strongly and promote it at every level and on every information platform. That’s excellent. In these few days alone about 300,000 people have already fled Russia.
Host: Tell me, isn’t Putin afraid that all the potential mobilizees will simply run away?
Oleg: No, he’s no longer afraid. Literally just before our conversation I read the latest news: all borders are closed. Exit for men of military age from 18 to 60 is only with a certificate from the military commissariat. This brings us back to the point that the military commissars are gold-plating themselves right now. Those already standing in queues at the border are being turned back, and some are already being handed summonses right there at the border.
Host: Do we have enough weapons? Can we today pour fire on all this trash that will be coming at us?
Oleg: I think yes. I’ll put it this way: we have the necessary minimum. Of course we would like the West, precisely arguing that they want to assemble a six-fold grouping, to at least double the amount of weapons we have today — especially artillery, drones, including rocket artillery, and aviation. Tanks and aviation — the firepower without which it will be problematic. Right now we are holding the situation, but we do not have a large advantage. We have reached parity on some directions, we have advantages on others, but on some directions the advantage is small. With weapons it is tense.
Iranian drones represent a danger no matter what. They have to be fought. That’s a minimum of 20 kilograms of TNT that can arrive, even with accuracy of plus or minus 10–15 meters. That’s another problem we have to deal with. I understand there are countries helping us. Lithuania, for example, is giving us anti-drone systems that they produce themselves. I was a bit mistaken earlier — I said it was jointly with Israel. It turned out Israel is separately interested in trying out its own developments in this area, especially since Iran is Israel’s “best friend,” in quotation marks. Through a third country, without naming the company, they are supplying us with these systems. Israel is already supplying us with weapons this way — not lethal weapons, but military-technical equipment. There is information that through a third country, without announcing the company name, they are interested in seeing how it works specifically against Iranian drones. That’s a sensation, by the way — I found it in open sources.
Putin bought a lot of these drones from the Iranian regime. From Russian sources we know the contract is supposedly for a thousand. As of today there is information from open sources that they have received about 300 — three Il-76 flights landed from Tehran at Vnukovo. The launcher is a civilian-looking covered truck that holds five drones. It removes the cover, raises the body to 45 degrees, and can launch them one by one or all together. But they have several shortcomings: speed only 150 km/h — rather slow; noise — in good conditions you can hear them from 20 kilometers; flight altitude up to 1,000 meters. That allows fighting them even with small arms. In Odessa, on the second day, and on the third day they already said the air defense shot down three out of three. The first ones we of course missed because of the surprise factor and lack of experience with the engagement algorithm. But already on the third day we shot down three out of three just over Odessa. Further on, the electronics they are transferring to us will do their job. This is another war of finding ways and counter-ways.
Host: Putin is already seriously stating that Russia is capable of using nuclear weapons. In principle this is framed, of course, as: if they accept these territories into Russia, then according to doctrine, the military constitution and all the rest of the legislation, they will defend “their” territory with nuclear weapons. The first question for our warriors: will this scare us into stopping the liberation of our territories or not?
Oleg: The task of the Armed Forces does not change, and we must not stop under any circumstances. I don’t think there will be any stopping because of the threat of nuclear weapons. In principle we even recognized Crimea in this Russian game. Russia was silent for two months. Putin already said there are strikes, but he didn’t say they would avenge those strikes. They swallowed it even after our Commander-in-Chief said that the airfield in Saky was our work. That is the territory of Ukraine.
Here, it seems to me, the role of the West will be greater. Nuclear weapons are already a conversation with the collective West. And here, it seems to me, the West has no choice. If they yield to Putin even once, he has won everything. After that he will constantly blackmail us.
Nuclear weapons come in three types: strategic, operational-tactical, and tactical. All three types are present. I myself served in an operational-tactical missile brigade, so I looked for the operational-tactical ones. Our missiles were aimed at Norway; we served near Leningrad. Putin has all three types, yes. What can he use against Ukraine? He will not use strategic ones against Ukraine. The only thing that can be assumed is tactical nuclear weapons. And even then, not on the level of Chernobyl creating problems with terrain contamination. The military effect of using tactical weapons will be minimal. Why? Because tactical nuclear weapons are intended for destroying concentrations of manpower and equipment in assembly areas or for punching a breach in a deeply echeloned defense — that’s what the Soviet combat regulations say. We don’t have concentrations. We move troops in small mobile units. Therefore the effect will be more political — the very fact of use. But I will say that this will be a Pandora’s box for Russia. Because if Putin uses nuclear weapons, the West will have every reason to deliver a retaliatory preemptive strike and finish off the Russian Federation once and for all.
Host: Let’s clarify. Putin can strike with tactical nuclear weapons. What is the probability, for example, against Odessa? Does such a probability exist?
Oleg: It cannot be excluded.
Host: A nuclear shell flies into Kyiv. What is the effect, the radius of destruction, what happens as a result?
Oleg: If it’s an artillery shell, it won’t reach. If it’s a missile, there can be up to 50 kilotons. Fairly large destruction in the city is possible — a large part of the city can be destroyed, and in principle the whole city will be in the zone of radioactive contamination.
Host: Can he go for that?
Oleg: It’s hard to get into Putin’s head, as Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. I do not exclude such a probability. Judging by the fact that he understands perfectly well that defeat in this war is his political death, and perhaps even physical death, he is quite capable of giving such an order. Whether it will be carried out is another question.
Host: I will ask you directly: if Putin strikes Ukraine with tactical nuclear weapons, can the West strike Russia with strategic nuclear weapons?
Oleg: Why would they start a nuclear war? They will strike with ordinary conventional weapons.
Host: Are you sure they will strike Russia for Ukraine’s sake?
Oleg: They will strike for their own sake. The point is that if the West yields to Putin, then further on Putin will blackmail the West and he will not stop at Ukraine. He will go further — into Eastern Europe, perhaps Central or Western Europe. Therefore they cannot leave his strike unanswered. They will be obliged to respond. And by the way, I am more than sure that even Hungary, which is currently pro-Russian, or Austria, which is neutral toward our war — if you ask their leaders, “Are you ready to get another Chernobyl in the center of Europe?” — I don’t think they will say no, we are not ready. That is why the statements of Britain and the United States that they reserve the right to deliver a preemptive strike with conventional weapons in the event of an attempt to use nuclear weapons inspire optimism in me. They have every means to try to prevent the use — starting with the physical destruction of a convoy that leaves the storage site with this weapon. They know the storage sites perfectly well; they are all verified under the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
Remember, I always give the example of General Budanov, our chief intelligence officer. At the beginning of summer he said somewhere in May: as soon as a meeting ends in Putin’s bunker, five minutes later the transcript is already on the desk of Western intelligence services. So I think the West will know about this immediately. They practically announced the plan of our war to us a year ago. Therefore they will know perfectly well about all of Putin’s intentions. And the notorious “red button” is a myth created by the mass media. In the nuclear briefcase there are codes for bringing a nuclear charge to combat readiness, and the procedure is multi-level. If at one of the levels a failure occurs or it is not carried out, the codes will not reach the launcher or the means of delivery. Plus we still don’t know in what condition the Russian nuclear weapons are. I agree with you — that also has to be taken into account, given the condition of equipment that has been in long-term storage. I think the nuclear warheads may be in roughly the same condition. Moreover, the Russian Federation has practically not produced them — it produced very few, and mainly strategic charges. Tactical and operational-tactical charges have essentially not been produced in Russia.
So we have come to the conclusion that if Russia only tries to deliver a tactical nuclear strike on Ukraine, the Americans will deliver a preemptive non-nuclear strike on Russia with conventional weapons. They reserve the right to deliver a non-nuclear strike. And their hand will not tremble. Of course not. This is their future they are fighting for. Remember, we explained in one of the videos that the war is going on in two planes: the geopolitical and our own. In our plane we are fighting for our independence; in the geopolitical plane the United States is fighting for a new world order. If they do not respond or do not deliver a preemptive strike, they will lose, and then Russia will establish the new world order. Putin understands this — that is what he is fighting for. No — he understands that the Americans will not sit with their arms folded. They have been trumpeting this for days already — the White House and, by the way, Liz Truss. This relay flash-mob, if you can call it that, has been supported at the highest level. They have simply chewed over all the consequences for the Kremlin in case they try to use nuclear weapons.
Host: All right. I understand that Putin is today raising the stakes in order to sit down at the negotiating table with Ukraine. Is that logical?
Oleg: Absolutely. These negotiations are critically necessary for him — he no longer has the strength to fight.
Host: Can Ukraine go to negotiations with Putin? Or, let me put it differently: can the Western partners today push Ukraine toward negotiations with Putin?
Oleg: Today? Remember, we keep returning to the same point — this has become a logical continuation of all our conversations. The bets have been placed; there are no more bets left. Everyone has clearly defined who is on which side. If they start pushing us toward negotiations, they will again lose.
Host: Do you today have confidence that we will liberate our territories — I mean all territories, including Donbas and Crimea — and end this cursed war victoriously?
Oleg: Yes, I have such confidence.
Host: Don’t you have the feeling that this war may end in the next month or two?
Oleg: No, I don’t have such a feeling. Everything will depend… Such a feeling may appear when I know that echelons are coming — the expression we used at the beginning — hundreds of units are coming into Ukraine. Then I may have such a feeling. For now my feeling is that I agree with General Zaluzhnyi: we must prepare for the spring campaign, and perhaps even longer.
Host: General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi is an amazing personality in general. Look, even Time published his portrait on the front page and a very pleasant article about him. Characterize this figure for me, please.
Oleg: I personally am not acquainted with him, so it is very hard for me to characterize him. But I will say this: he is a very creative person and thinks very freely and non-standardly. He is a general of the new generation — a NATO general, I would even say. In my view it is very good that we changed the military command, that we do not have the old “garden” generals. No matter what they say about having served most of their time under independent Ukraine, you cannot knock the Soviet out of a person — it remains and leaves its mark until the end of his days. Whereas Zaluzhnyi is already a NATO general, and therefore it is easier for him. There is also another general who, in connection with the organizational-staff structure of the Armed Forces, has stepped a little into the shadows, but he is the brain center — General Shapoval, Chief of the General Staff. The General Staff is the brain of the army, of course. Zaluzhnyi exercises overall leadership, and this tandem, in my view, is practically Ukraine’s lucky ticket in this war.
Host: I will ask you the penultimate question. Is a situation possible in which NATO troops, or United States troops, or Polish troops enter the territory of Ukraine at the request of the Ukrainian leadership and finish off this hydra?
Oleg: They will not finish it off, but they can enter under the condition that, for example, questions of nuclear security start being resolved, and under a UN mandate they can enter and take our nuclear facilities under protection. Such a variant was, by the way, considered when Putin began blackmailing with the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. But into direct combat confrontation — no, they will never go. Because automatically the war turns into a world war, which is exactly what Putin needs, and then the negotiation process will already go not at the level of Kyiv–Moscow but Kyiv–Washington–Paris–Berlin — which is what he wants: to return to the Olympus of world politics. “Guys, now let’s negotiate — I’m a peacemaker,” he always says.
Host: I would like to recommend to our numerous viewers that they subscribe to the wonderful YouTube channel of Oleg Zhdanov. I will ask you the last question for this hour, this minute: are you an optimist?
Oleg: Yes. I believe that we will win. I am very optimistically inclined, although I try to restrain myself — one must be objective.
Host: Thank you.
